BIG EASY JUKE JOINT FOR NEW ORLEANS

Press Pass LA had the chance to attend “Big Easy Juke Joint” an event sponosred by Variety Magazine aiming to raise funds and continued awareness for the ‘aid still needed’ to revitalize New Orleans’ lower 9th Ward- an area still in shambles seven years after being devastated by Hurrican Katrina.

Long after the attention of the world has moved on, Aid Still Required, a non-profit organization, steps in to alleviate suffering and champion the cause of those left behind. The event took place at the Bugatta Restaurant & Bar on Melrose Avenue in Hollywood and brought out stars like Chris Noth and Jason Ritter to support. The event included special music performances by Overstreets’ New Orleans Jazz Band and both silent and live auctions. Guests were treated to Southern-inspired tastings including open oyster and beignet bars, and signature themed-cocktails.

We caught up with some celebrity supporters as they gathered to enjoy an evening of fun and philanthropy. Check out our video and photo gallery.
