DWTS-THE LAST DANCE

It’s the penultimate episode of the season!  The night that truly matters!  All the hours of training,  the aching joints, the hopes that they’re names go higher on Google search have led up to this…..the FINALE!

Two of my three pics (Carson was robbed!) from day one, along with Rob Kardashian, took their places center stage ready to leave it all on the dance floor.  Two dances, one being the “anything goes” freestyle, were performed by the finalists in front of a crowd of fans and dancing alumni.  It was also the only show this season less than two hours long!  Let’s get it on!

Ricki Lake:  Being first for any competition is always nerve racking.  Her first dance was the Cha Cha.  You could tell she was nervous because she was a bit stiff and jittery, BUT she is always precise with her footwork. She is a perfectionist.  I only wish she had let loose a little more.  This is the finale!  You’re supposed to have fun!  With that being said, Ricki came back with a daring freestyle.  Derrick condensed every variety of dance in her last shot to the top.  Her zest and personality have won her many votes, along with her vast weekly improvements.  Let’s hope people will ignore her partner’s need to grow flesh colored facial hair on a night where anything goes!

Rob Kardashian: You couldn’t get an appointment at the MAC counter today, because the book had a big K written from open to close!  Everyone Kardashian was front and center with their best painted face to see Rob go where NO man thought he would be, dancing in the Finale!  Rob was just happy to be there.  The judges were generous with a 27 for his waltz.  His freestyle was fun and the most athletic of any dance he did all season.  If the four horseman (Khloe, Kim, Kris, and Kourtney) get all their twitter followers to vote for Rob, we may have the biggest upset in dance history to occur…and the first sign of the Apocalypse.

J.R. Martinez: Coming off an excruciating ankle injury, J.R. knew he had to come out and like a champ.  He did not disappoint!  His Cha Cha was smooth and effortless.  Yes, there was an apparent off timing in the beginning by a step, but it was still fun and energetic.  The judges scored him a 24, which garnered a sea of “BOOS” from the crowd.  J.R. acknowledged his flub and promised to come back with a freestyle worthy of a perfect score.  He delivered that and so much more.  His freestyle was the best dance of the night.  And let’s just take a moment and acknowledge the MAJOR BODY Karina was giving the eyes to peer at.  She looked like a hand drawn superhero!  If the quest for the mirror ball trophy causes a physique like that, then pry the Reese’s peanut butter cups from my claws and sign me up!  Wait, can we do it after the the holidays…and January because that’s my birthday month…and Valentine’s Day because I LOVE chocolate…oh screw it!

This competition is J.R. Martinez’s for the taking, but we have all seen the votes go in many different directions, so it’s anybody’s for the taking!  I want to take the time to thank everyone who has read this blog every week.  I’ve loved all the feedback and rephrasing that people have given me.  I live by this motto:  “Life is too short to worry about what others say or think about you.  Have fun and give them something to talk about.”  What’s my next venture, you may ask?  Only time will tell, but don’t worry, it will come soon.  This B#$%h will definitely be back!  Happy Holidays and Besos!!!
