With Superheroes being front and center for a decade now, we’ve really missed a good ole’ fashioned Rom-Com.
Here are some binge worthy, incredible Rom-Com’s we’ve been missing on the big screen.
5. How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (2003)
Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey shine in this incredible laugh out loud storyline. Kate plays a smart, sharp witted writer at a women’s magazine looking to break into more serious topics. Her latest assignment? You guessed it, ‘How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days’. Matthew’s character is a big advertising man and has to land a woman in love to fulfill a big client’s expectations. From there the sparks fly, and you can’t possible hit pause. This one is a no-brainer. Hop on board and check out this classic.
4. Miss Congeniality (2000)
This Rom-Com stars Sandra Bullock….do we need to say anything else? Sandra’s character is a rough around the edges badass FBI agent who goes undercover in beauty pageants …and you guessed it. Somewhere between unraveling a plot, and getting glammed, she finds that love could be just around the corner. Pass the popcorn we’re always in for Sandra.
3. The Notebook (2004)
This film was a huge turning point for Rachel McAdams and gave Ryan Gosling his star-power leading man status. You’ll laugh through the tears in this incredible adaptation of Nicholas Spark’s novel. It’s a classic, and lets be honest, there are plenty of men who love this film too. So cuddle up, bring tissues and a blanket (blankey) for emotional support. These are the good laughter tears. The ending has a heart wrenching twist, and just a beautiful underlying storyline.
2. Clueless (1995)
Alicia Silverstone stole the scene with her iconic character: Cher. Cher Horowitz created a movement and inspired an entire generation of Fashionistas. Not only is this movie hilarious, it created a fashion movement AND catch phrases people still dole out today. Don’t act like you’ve never said ‘As If’ or ‘Whatever’ as you made the ‘W’. Yeah we’re talking to you. So go get your best plaid outfit, with knee highs and jam out to one of the best soundtracks to pair with a rom-com ever. ( Also Paul Rudd is Ant-Man now) What? Exactly….jump on it.

Julia Roberts is THE ULTIMATE! There is absolutely hands down, no better weekend flick to dive into than a re-run of ‘Pretty Woman’. Are you really even living if you haven’t witnessed Julia Roberts and Richard Greer’s chemistry on screen. The theme is iconic, and the outfits are to die for.
