The GBK Gifting Lounge got the holiday spirit started early, with gift giving just in time for the American Music Awards. The annual event took place at the Andaz Hotel in West Hollywood where nominees and celebrity guests were treated to musical performances, manicures, and selection of trend-setting products and gifts.

Performers at the lounge included an eclectic mix of musicians: Stazz, Stanley, Angelyna Martinez, Branches, Deqn Sue, DJ eTunes, J-Dub, Pullman Standard, Mike Burke, 10 year-old DJ Babychino (the world’s youngest DJ) and The Voice’s Chris Mann and Jamar Rogers.

Nothing makes gift-giving better than charity. With the help of participating sponsors and generous celebrity guests, 100% of the events proceeds and donations where given to the American Red Cross to help Hurricane Sandy Relief. Speaking of charity, one of our favorite booths was “A Rose of Thanks” where you could create special greetings cards to send to survivors of Sandy during the holidays. We personalized a special hard with the state of New Jersey depicted on the front.

Some of the more popular gifts at the suite included The Coffee Cuff by designer Michelle Roy. These eye-catching reusable coffee sleeves are made of Italian leather, hand-studded, and covered in glittering jewels and can be purchased at Roy’s new store Social Butterflies LA on 3rd street. Celebs who are “blinging out their blend” include Katy Perry, Fergie, and Miley Cyrus. We can’t wait to see these ladies at the AMA’s and were happy to be given one of Roy’s most popular items from her boutique-   a pink skull purse keychain!

Another popular gift was the Fly Watches by Jonathon Hedden of Fly Clothing. These watches feature an interchangeable watch band and face that allow for hundreds of unique color and style combinations. Some popular colors include glamorous green, radiant red, orange-licious and more. PPLA took home a “passionate purple” Fly Watch. Our favorite feature is the blinking LED light, perfect for those late night red carpets. The watch is fashionable and comfortable, tailor made for active gals on the go like us!

When it came to beauty, we were thrilled to enjoy mini-manicures at Cindi Nails and receive their special top and base coat polish to take home so our nails can look good all awards season! RevitaLash was offering complimentary makeup including their highlighter and long lasting mascara, and Sure Thick Hair was making sure everyone’s locks looked luscious and full!

The most generous of gifting participants was The Artisan Group who first amazed us when we met them at the Emmy Gifting Lounge. This group which brings together handcrafted gifts was bestowing a variety of jewelry, stationary, and accessories. Some of our top picks include the  pearl earrings by Little Bear’s Mom, the decorative wine stopper by Angie Turner, horseshoe charm necklace by Brag About It Jewelry, and the note cards by Fancy Designs Stationary, from over 30 gifts in their bag!

There was also some great clothing at this event including cowboy boots for toddlers from B Belle Couture, Rock ‘N Roll jackets and shirts from SYC FUK, and fashion forward footwear from iiJin.

Some of the more lavish gifts included a 5-night all inclusive stay at the Hard Rock Hotel  in Cancun, Punta Cana, or Puerto Vallarta. Who ever said the rockstar lifestyle doesn’t pay off?

The attendees at this event included recording artist Aubrey O’Day, Brian Littrell of The Backstreet Boys, Zendaya Coleman of Disney’sShake It Up, actor Max Charles (The Amazing Spiderman), and the girl group BLUSH, among others. Before headed home with their treats, the celebs got to treat themselves to delicious cupcakes byRoyal Red Velvet, who gave every celeb a gift certificate for a free dozen to order at home, and pose to create an animated flipbook of the event by Action Flipbooks.

Well, it’s on to the American Music Awards…we can’t wait to spot some of these great gifts on the red carpet!!!
