THE GROVE’S CITI SUMMER CONCERT SERIES: CAPITAL CITIES, THE BACKSTREET BOYS & MORE

Are you looking for fun this summer in the Hollywood area? You have to be heading to The Grove for the Citi Summer Concert Series! This week Capital Cities and Said the Whale took over the Grove with the help of hundreds of fans gathered around. Fans lined up early to get their close spots at the stage. Capital Cities oversized sunglasses were being passed out to fans and everyone was ready to rock.Capital Cities, The Grove

Said The Whale started the night off with their blend of alternative indie rock. They set the tone for the night and everyone was getting excited. Capital Cities took the stage and fuzed the energy right back into the crowd. They performed tracks off of their newest albumIn A Tidal Wave of Mystery including “Chartreuse” and “I Sold My Bed, Not My Stereo.” Frontmen Sebu and Ryan really took the night by storm. They closed the night with their current single “Safe and Sound” and also turned it into one big dance party! They extended the track with a very fun electronic track that got the entire Grove moving.

This was truly a fun concert in my personal opinion. Capital Cities put on a set unlike any band I’ve seen lately. Even while shooting photos I caught myself singing and moving along to the beat. You can find Capital Cities on iTunes to purchase their album. Next week we will cover The Backstreet Boys for The Grove’s Summer Concert Series. Come out for a free show on Wednesday July 31st at 7:30pm!
