HAILEY SOLE: ‘WET HOT AMERICAN SUMMER: FIRST DAY OF CAMP’ BREAKOUT STAR

Who knew 13 was the new 30?!  Young breakout star Hailey Sole is only just starting her freshman year of high school, but has a list of accolades that any adult actor would die for.

Most recently, Hailey was in the much anticipated Netflix hit Wet Hot American Summer:  First Day Of Camp as Amy, one of the campers. Prior to that, her only comedy credit was on Parks and Recreation, but this young starlet is already a pro.

Hailey had her big break on Private Practice in 2011, in which she was nominated for the 2011 Young Artists Awards for “Best Performance in a TV Series-Recurring Young Actress Ten and Under.”  And believe it or not, Private Practice was Sole’s first audition ever, which she obviously blew it out of the park because this is how her career really got started.  She has also starred in Ghost Whisperer, Franklin & Bash and Criminal Minds.

In her most recent role in Wet Hot American Summer, Sole got to really break into the comedy world by working with some of the top names in the biz.  When describing her experience, Hailey said, “It was so much fun.  We were always laughing all the time.  It was a great experience.  It was such an amazing cast and they were all really nice.  It was just really great to work with all of them.”

When asked whom her favorite actor was to work with on set her response was humble yet honored to have worked with some of the best comedic actors in the industry. “I personally got to work with Marguerite Moreau, Janeane Garofalo, Zak Orth, and Michael Showalter.  I really liked working with them because not only were they funny but they talked to us campers off camera, we got to know them, they got to know us, it was really nice.  It was cool because you get to see people on screen in character, and then you get to know them in real life and its really awesome.”

Not only did Sole learn from the amazing actors she worked with on set, but the experience taught her a lot about herself and how to achieve success.  “Before I got this show, I was kind of a shy kid…I didn’t really put myself out there that much, but after working with these actors and seeing how they worked I realized that you can’t hold back.”

While you would think that Sole has enough on her plate with acting, she is still maintaining a busy life as a normal teenage girl.  Sole is an Honor Award Member of the California Junior Scholarship Federation, is a competitive cheerleader, and is studying both Mandarin and Spanish.  In addition, she is involved in charities including Habitat for Humanity, Helping All Transients, Operation Progress and Ahead with Horses.

Not to worry though, this girl is not slowing down anytime soon!  With aspirations to expand her career to film as well as television, Sole is just at the start of what seems to be a blossoming future.
