JACK THE GIANT SLAYER: NICHOLAS HOULT FROM ZOMBIE ROMANCE TO HEROIC FARMBOY

Press Pass LA was at the red carpet premiere of Jack the Giant Slayer opening nationwide March 1st and starring Nicholas Hoult and Eleanor Tomlinson. The film is a modern take on the classic tale of “Jack and the Beanstalk” directed and produced by Bryan Singer (X-Men:First ClassThe Usual Suspects). The cast includes Ewan McGregor, Stanley Tucci, and more.

The CGI-heavy film tells the story of an ancient war that is reignited when a young farmboy, Jack (Nicholas Hoult), unknowingly opens the gateway between the human world and a world of fearsome giants. In the style of the Lord of the Rings, Jack becomes an unlikely hero who must fight to save his home, his people, and the win the love of a brave princess (Eleanor Tomlinson). Ewan McGregor plays the captain of the king’s men and Stanley Tucci is Hoult’s antagonist, betrothed to Princess Isabelle.

Fresh off his leading role in Warm Bodies, Nicholas Hoult arrived looking ever the Hollywood heartthrob wearing a Tom Ford suit. The newly single Hoult told E! News of his Ex-girlfriend Jennifer Lawrence’s recent Oscar win, “Im very happy for her, I’m thrilled!” The two reunite next alongside director Bryan Singer in X-Men: Days of Future Past. Meanwhile, his co-star Eleanor Tomlinson shined in a shimmery gold Azzarro dress and gold clutch.
