LA’S BLOODBOY DROPS DEBUT SINGLE

Stream Bloodboy’s debut single “Human Female” and let us know what you think!

Bloodboy is the artistic identity of Lexie Papilion from San Clemente, CA. When “Human Female” made it’s way to our speakers, it sparked an immediate reaction: a mix of a head bob and a shoulder roll is the best way to explain it. “You run but you hope they find you” echoes longingly within the (intensely catchy) chorus, produced by Justin Raisen (Charli XCX, Sky Ferreira, Ariel Pink).

The track has a sort of grittiness to it that is complimented by Papilion’s vocal, reminiscent of Metric’s “Help I’m Alive” with a bit of Phantogram’s “Black Out Days” – a nice place to be nestled between for a debut. Thom Monahan and Christian Hand are said to be on board for Bloodboy’s upcoming tracks – we will definitely will be paying attention.
