Welcome to the worst kept secret in the entertainment industry: the gifting suite! This elusive and exclusive event has grown from an intimate gift bag prepared solely for nominees, award winners, and presenters during Hollywood’s award season to a massive undertaking produced year after year by various production companies. Backstage Creations Giving Suite however, is undeniably the one and only true gifting suite of the Emmys.
Located backstage of the actual show, guests are met and ushered into a private lounge that was beautifully designed by Josh Johnson of: Interior & Event Design. Beauty greets the eye in every corner of this chic gifting suite, but it’s crowning glory is it’s double purpose of being a Giving Suite.
Back Stage Creation’s giving suite will raise $150,000 to aid the Television Academy Foundation. The Television Academy Foundation was founded in 1959, created with goal of educating and engaging the next generation of the television industry. These lovely people are helping shape the creative genius of Hollywood’s future, by providing services to: the film and digital departments of colleges and universities around the country.
Walking into the giving suite you’re immediately greeted by Melissa Shoes. This Brazilian brand is best known for creating plastic based footwear complete with a “tutti-frutti” scent. This years collection is in collaboration with celebrated designer Jason Wu. Past collaborations includes collections with fashion juggernaut’s like: Karl Lagerfeld, Zaha Hadid, Vivienne Westwood, and more.
Celebrities travel a lot for work; and we mean a lot. Bose was on hand to present this years talent with Bose Quiet Comfort. These chic headphones are acoustic noise cancelling that give you a crisp, powerful sound will giving you the quiet needed to enjoy your tunes better. Did we mention they are incredibly comfortable?
