Legacy Youth Leadership held their 3rd Annual Legacy Ball event, on Oct. 14th, at the iconic SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills.
Legacy Youth Leadership is a nonprofit organization that is building better leaders who will build a better world. Legacy knows that young people are not just the future, they are the present. Legacy provides free youth leadership and mentoring programs that teach students how to use their time, their money, their voice, and their vote so they can be leaders today. Legacy’s Programs develop, mentor, and equip young people with the skills they need to reach their academic goals, make a REAL impact on the world around them, and thrive.
As mentioned by Founder & CEO, Seth Maxwell: “We are so grateful to be able to gather together in person again for the biggest night of our year to raise more critical awareness and support for this incredible movement of young leaders and all of the impact they are making.”
Legacy Youth Leadership is a movement of tens of thousands of high school and college students working to change the world. We are building better leaders who will build a better world. Legacy runs FREE youth leadership and mentoring programs in low-income schools to help students learn how to use their TIME, their MONEY, their VOICE and their VOTE to change the outcomes of the most pressing issues in the world today. We help students develop the skills they need to be leaders TODAY. Skills like communication & public speaking, organization & strategic planning, fundraising, and more. Last year alone we served more than 2,400 students who were able to complete our Leadership Program! These inspiring student leaders then get paired with real-life, adult Mentors through our Mentoring Program who mentor them all year long as they work on a very real project in their community. Finally, each summer, we host our annual student leadership conference, Legacy Summit! This epic 2-day program is one part Summer Camp, one part Music Festival, and one part U.N. General Assembly. We gather together 300 of our student leaders to invest in them, equip them with the skills they need, and connect them to each other so that they can go out and build a better world! This year alone Legacy students protected over 2,100 acres of rainforest land in Peru to combat Climate Change, got FREE mental health resources into the hands of 2,800 low-income students including a year of free therapy, and so much more!
Sponsored by Follett, Liquid Death, and Orange Barrel Media – this event will featured a number of different award presentations & performances with appearances by Scott Evans, Anthony Keyvan and Missi Pyle, among others. The evening’s top honor, the Legacy Award, was presented to Scott Evans, while PwC will be receiving the Vision award for their company’s significant support in helping build the leaders of today.
