4TH ANNUAL EMMYS GIFT LOUNGE AT FIG & OLIVE

When the leaves change into their autumn hue, two things are certain: It’s time to pull those sweaters out of storage, and awards seasons is officially about to begin. Press Pass LA had the privilege of attending the official pre-Emmy’s gifting suite thrown by Doris Bergman and being held at one of L.A.’s finest restaurants, Fig and Olive.
Stars were engulfed by a wide array of vendors and treated to delicious fare after. The entrepreneurs in attendance were quite impressive! One of our favorites was White Lightning, where we met the President and CEO Jennifer Gerard. This woman is a jack of all trades, covering every facet imaginable! Her at home teeth whitening system will make any smile noticeable from across the room. Did we mention she also markets cosmetics, one of which is a lighted lip gloss with a mirror on the side? She has the “girl on the go guide” down to a science.
In Los Angeles, everywhere you look there is a pop up wheat grass stand or Vegan bakery, so it’s hard to decipher which company is really putting in as much “good stuff” for your body as they are pushing out on their shelves. Look no further! Begley’s and Bill’s is the first company I will officially put my stamp of approval on! They are 100% Vegan, Gluten Free, and Kosher! The best part is…everything tastes SO GOOD! Take it from someone who has enough allergies to the point where my realtor is looking for a bubble for me to sublet. A soda that’s healthy? Simply ludicrous!
While perusing the event, I had the opportunity to chat with celebrity stylist Daniel Musto who informed me of a savvy new smartphone app called The Hunt (and website www.thehunt.com) where you snap a picture of a trendy find, upload it, and users can help you locate where to purchase it. The catchphrase is “the hunt is on!” How cool is that? We are very excited for this awards season, and this kickoff set the bar extremely high for future gifting suites.
