Doris Bergam has done it again. Her 5th Annual Style & Lounge Party at Fig & Olive in celebration of the 66th Emmy Awards was the epitome of style and elegance.
The decor was nothing less than chic; tables draped in fine white linens featured white and yellow roses that not only provided a feminine touch, but an enticing aroma for guests. Held at the renowned Fig & Olive in West Hollywood, celebrities and fashion/beauty enthusiasts alike gathered to explore the latest in skincare and fashion, indulge in a gourmet luncheon, and express their generosity with unwrapped gifts for a pre-holiday gift drive benefiting teens in foster care via ‘Wednesday’s Child’ — a weekly segment airing on KTTV FOX 11 News.
Hosted by MD Sun Skin Care and presented by Gerard Cosmetics Whitening & Lightening, the event celebrated the talents of this year’s Emmy nominated actors. Celebrities in attendance include: R.J. Mitte (Breaking Bad), Khandi Alexander (Treme), Joey King (Fargo), Kate Burton (Scandal), Jamie Brewer (American Horror Story), Kelset Scott (12 Years A Slave), Jon Voight (Ray Donovan) and many, many more!
Upon walking into the main event, I’m immediately greeted by the ladies of Gerard Cosmetics. We take a photo and then they walk me over to a table full of glorious cosmetics. Selectively placed in the front center portion of the table were two large golden trays of beautiful lip glosses in a range of colors, topped with shiny golden detailing. But these are no ordinary lip glosses, no, of course not. These lip glosses have a built in light that automatically turns on when you untwist the cap AND have a mirror sleekly placed along the side of the tube for a perfect pout every time!
As I perused through the tables of sponsors, I found myself surrounded by my soon to be favorite products. After spending time with Dr. Sun and learning about his innovative skin care line made for post surgery patients, I was intrigued and excited to try his line of products. I’m now obsessed and in love with his Super Hydration B Treatment. For transplants such as myself who have had a hard time adjusting to this arid L.A. climate, this hydrating serum feels like a cool drink of water for your face. It’s the perfect amount of hydration plus it absorbs so quickly into the skin all while maintaing your skin’s natural pH balance. A must have product during this terrible drought we’re experiencing!
The spectacular bite-sized treats and delights from My Sweet Cupcake (Winner of Cupcake Wars on the Food Network) made every thing that much sweeter. All of the sponsors were so generous with their amazing gifts.
Even though I didn’t have an Emmy nom, I still felt like quite the VIP at this exclusive and extravagant affair. Looking forward to next year!
