If you’ve ever wondered what it must be like to attend one of the most exclusive awards ceremonies of the year, ponder no more! Press Pass LA attended the annual Golden Globes Menu Preview at The Beverly Hilton for an unveiling of the tabletop and culinary offerings for the 71st annual Golden Globe® Awards.
The Beverly Hilton’s Executive Chef Suki Sugiura has prepared the Globes menu for a decade and Executive Sous Chef, Christopher O’Connell, and Executive Pastry Chef, Thomas Henzi, were also on hand to help present this year’s menu including dessert!
In addition Moet & Chandon, the champagne sponsor for the Globes, hosted a champagne tasting featuring the first ever official Globes drink- the Golden Night.
It wouldn’t be a black tie affair without gorgeous floral arrangements, provided by florist Mark Held, of MARK’S GARDEN®. We got a sneak peak at the the floral centerpieces that will adorn each star-studded table at the ceremony. This year’s theme really is the ‘golden’ Golden Globes!
The Beverly Hilton has been home of the Golden Globe® Awards a total of 43 times and for the last 39 consecutive years! This year’s event will air live on NBC on Sunday, January 12, 2014 from The Beverly Hilton’s legendary International Ballroom and will be seen in more than 192 countries worldwide.
