The Oscars my be the hottest ticket in Tinseltown, but Oscar viewing parties are giving the Academy Awards a run for their money! The World Famous Abbey in West Hollywood held it’s 13th Annual, “The Envelope Please” event on March 2nd to benefit the Aids Project Los Angeles Charity.
The red carpet was ablaze with celebrities and noted philanthropists all showing their support and opening their wallets for such a great foundation which is celebrating it’s 30th year. NCIS star Pauley Perrette was the esteemed hostess that evening, making this her fourth year as the emcee.
Ever the gracious and respectable lady, she stopped to chat with us on why this event was so important in raising awareness to help put an end to the AIDS epidemic which still runs rampant throughout every community. She was all smiles in talking about her charitable work and that her hit show is airing it’s 250th show on March 4th, 2014.
A huge sponsor of the evening was Chaz Dean, owner and creative mind of Wen hair care products and hair guru to the ladies of Los Angeles at his salon Chaz Dean Studio. He has been involved with APLA for many years and told us that it was a “need not a want” that compelled him to this charity. I also had the opportunity to see his “Wen Girls” up close and personal. I had major hair envy and will be booking my appointment ASAP!
