Series can have many lives, just like cats, in today’s tv landscape. Snowpiercer has landed at AMC after hitting the cutting room floor of TNT’s upcoming television schedule.

The final season of Snowpiercer has finally found a new home in AMC. The fourth season of the sci-fi drama will air on AMC after the company acquired the rights to the Tomorrow Studios-produced series. It comes after TNT scrapped the show last year as part of a wider Warner Bros. Discovery content write-down strategy. Also known as the Warner content apocalypse that saw so many good shows meet a quick and tragic death. But hey, HBO online is now named MAX…so, thats cool. AMC has been eyeing a good bit of tv properties that haven’t been given their due. The network also saved the Captain Nemo series Nautilus after Disney+ tossed it to the cutting room.

Back to Snowpiercer. The first three seasons of the show will stream on AMC+ later this year and season 4 will air on the network and its streaming service in early 2025.

Set more than seven years after the world has become a frozen wasteland, Snowpiercer centers on the remnants of humanity who inhabit a perpetually moving train, with 1001 cars, that circles the globe. The third season finale left a split of the train with Melanie Cavill (Jennifer Connelly) leading the Eternal Engine and those passengers who chose to stay aboard Snowpiercer for relative safety, and Andre Layton (Daveed Diggs) leading the others on Big Alice who chose to adventure to the unknown, outside world of New Eden.
