AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS

The 2011 American Music Awards, a star-studded event took place at Nokia Theatre LA Live in Los Angeles this past Sunday evening November 20th. PPLA was in the press room to chat with the ceremony’s hottest artists.

The annual musical showcase featured plenty of action, including performances by the newly single and always sexy JLo, The Queen of Hip-Hop Soul Mary J. Blige, Pitbull, Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry, Kelley Clarkson and many more. LMFAO closed the night with their hit ‘Party Rock Anthem’. They had us shuffling along with some familiar faces, albeit odd choices such as Bieber & the Hoff. I still can’t decide if this performance was funny or disturbing! Boxers or briefs anyone?

PPLA was among the top media outlets that had the opportunity to catch up with the 2011 AMA presenters and winners in the backstage press room. We even got a question with the big winner of the night, Taylor Swift. She picked up three trophies- Country Female Artist, Country Album, and the most coveted prize of them all, Artist of the Year. In addition to all the awards show fun, PPLA attended the pre-AMA gifting suites hosted by BWD Public Relations. LA’s hottest stars and music icons attended the lounge to celebrate the AMA’s and received complimentary pampering- massages, manicures, spray tans, cocktails, food, and beauty an lifestyle products- to help them look and feel there best for the big show!
