Classical music sensation, Andrea Bocelli came out tonight in full force to launch his new foundation, the Andrea Bocelli Foundation, in a star-studded event at The Beverly Hilton Hotel. The organization strives to raise funds and awareness to fight poverty around the world, as well as help those who are overcoming barriers such as illness, discomfort, and disability.
Andrea Bocelli has overcome blindness, and the nature of its limitations, to become the world’s highest selling solo classical musician. During the event, Bocelli presented his first foundation award, a Girard-Perregaux World Timer timepiece, to iconic music recorder and producer, Quincy Jones. Following the presentation, Bocelli performed a number of his world-renowned hits accompanied by Carlo Bernini and David Foster, and a surprise performance by guest Michael Bolton. The event also featured a silent auction. Other attendees included Anna Marie Martinez, Jo Champa, Julie Benz, Camille Belle, and Evan Rachel Wood, to name a few… All in all, a great turnout for a wonderful cause!
