The Art of Elysium held their 5th Annual Heaven Gala the night before the Golden Globes at The Downtown Los Angeles Historic Union Station. The gala celebrates artists who provide outstanding support to the foundation each year, which encourages actors, artists, and musicians to volunteer their time and talent to children battling serious medical conditions. PPLA was on the red carpet to chat with the celebrity guests who turned out to show their support.
The night included performances by The Johnny Crawford Orchestra, Lucy Walsh, and Estelle followed by a fashion show by designer Cameron Silver, styled by Elizabeth Stewart, surprise guests, a dinner, and an after-party. This year’s honorees included actor, Elijah Wood, who was given the Spirit of Elysium award for his ongoing commitment to the non-profit organization.
The Art of Elysium’s programs for hospitalized youth include Fashion Design, Fine Arts, Music, Theatre/Media Arts, and Arts Based Self-Esteem workshops. The charity works with numerous hospitals and medical facilities in Los Angeles and began servicing hospitals in New York City in 2009. The organization was founded by Jennifer Howell in 1997 and will continue to expand nationwide. The Heaven Gala was produced by Yifat of Yifat Oren & Associates and presented by Audi and Relativity Media. Additional ponsors included Beau Joie Champagne and Loree Rodkin Beauty, with jewelry for the fashion show provided by Marina B.
