Press Pass LA returned to heaven this weekend, The Art of Elysium’s Annual Heaven Gala which takes place Golden Globes Eve. This year’s celebration was at Hangar 8 in Santa Monica and was guided by world-renowned contemporary performance artist Marina Abramović as its creative visionary. 

In addition, this year’s event honored actress Amber Heard with the organization’s highest honor, the Spirit of Elysium award.

Guests had the opportunity to experience four distinct collaborations of Abramović’s that represent The Art of Elysium’s core services in fashion, film, fine arts and music. These included:

Fashion: Abramović and The Art of Elysium are partnered with Ennio Capasa, creative director of Costume National for an exclusive preview presentation of his pre-Fall 2015 women’s collection.

Film: Guests viewed a short film and tableau vivant performance called Misfits for the Table, which details the story behind the creation of the collaboration between Bernardaud and Marina Abramović.

Fine Arts: New York City-based video and installation artist Marco Brambilla was on hand to show his piece Evolution (Megaplex) in 3D that will be presented at the Beyeler Fondation later in January.

Music: Guests were treated to a surprise musical performance by Usher.

Celebrities in attendance included Amy Smart, Elijah Wood, Shanola Hampton, Angie Harmon, Camilla Belle, Topher Grace, Kelly Osbourne and more.
