This morning, newcomer, Julia Rizik dropped her debut pop single “Love Myself” and we’ve had it on repeat in our offices ever since!
This country crossover star got her first taste of success playing Stagecoach in 2018 and most recently Country Thunder 2019.
Today, she dropped her much anticipated single “Love Myself” ahead of the release her Summer EP (of the same name) which combines her country roots with a fresh pop sound!
The song carries a message about anti-bullying, something Julia went through herself, and being comfortable in your own skin. She plans to release a full pop EP of the same name later this Summer!
“School was always rough for me, especially because all I thought about was music. My music always seems to get me through. I wrote this EP to be all inclusive. No matter your age, race, gender identity, creed, everyone can relate to the message. I centered the whole project around self-love, unconditional acceptance, and care for yourself, no matter what you have been through or what mistakes you’ve made in the past,” shared Rizik.
Julia’s sweet and sultry voice first garnered local attention in her home state of Arizona and then quickly caught the ear of producers in Nashville, where she moved to recording her first studio sessions.
She released her first independent country single “Medicine” in 2017 which she co-wrote and co-produced. The song got noticed by Spotify and made their New Music Nashville Playlist.
“Although country music brought me my start, I feel I’ve really found my true voice as an artist with Love Myself. My new EP is a complete transition for me as an artist. I’ve worked really hard on developing this new pop sound with cool beats and story-telling elements,” shared Rizik.
“Love Myself” has early support from WWE Superstars, the Bella Twins, who personally asked Julia to perform the song live during their runway show at Scottsdale Fashion Week in March. They also previewed the track on a recent episode (titled “Are You With People Magazine”) on their hit show “Total Bellas” on E! Entertainment.
Not only are we obsessed with this single, we love that fact that Julia is all about our mission to “Get What Matters” in Hollywood. She told us her favorite thing about performing is giving back! She lends her voice and helping hands to charitable organizations such as “Musicians on Call” “Phoenix Breast Cancer Walk” and “Demand On Cure.” Now that she’s an Angeleno, she plans to collaborate with other musicians and producers here and lend her tine to local organizations like The Art of Elysium.
