Behind the Scenes with Ridley Scott: Gladiator II

Paramount Pictures went behind the scenes with the cast of Gladiator II discussing their experience working with Ridley Scott to bring this film to life.

In this featurette, cast members Paul Mescal, Pedro Pascal, Joseph Quinn, Connie Nielsen and Denzel Washington share what their time was like on set. The film also stars Joseph Quinn, Fred Hechinger, Lior Raz, and Derek Jacobi.

The film is Directed by Ridley Scott (Scott Free Production) and written by Peter Craig and David Scarpa, based on the characters by David Franzoni.

The film, a sequel to the 2001 hit which won Russell Croww an Oscar, is in theaters this this week on November 22nd. Watch the trailer below.

Gladiator II continues the epic saga of power, intrigue, and vengeance set in Ancient Rome. Years after witnessing the death of the revered hero Maximus at the hands of his uncle, Lucius (Paul Mescal) is forced to enter the Colosseum after his home is conquered by the tyrannical Emperors who now lead Rome with an iron fist. With rage in his heart and the future of the Empire at stake, Lucius must look to his past to find strength and honor to return the glory of Rome to its people.
