We might be mid-way through festival season, but Bourbon & Beyond is the best end-of-summer festival to put on your radar. The two-day festival will be taking place in Louisville, KY September 23-24, 2017 and will feature a vast lineup of premier musicians, award-winning chefs, and bourbon experts.
Eddie Vedder, Stevie Nicks, and Steve Miller Band will headline the inaugural festival, with additional performances by Gary Clark Jr., Buddy Guy, Joe Bonamassa, Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Band of Horses, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, ZZ Ward, Kiefer Sutherland and many more.
The bourbon-inspired event will showcase over fifty of the best Kentucky bourbons curated by Wall Street Journal-bestselling author, Fred Minnick, acclaimed chef and restaurateur, Edward Lee, and celebrity chef, Chris Cosentino. The comprehensive lineup will feature several Kentucky bourbon experiences which include a 20,000-sq-ft Big Bourbon Bar, as well as the opportunity to taste rare, experimental and hard-to-find bourbons at The Hunter’s Club. Local and free bourbon workshops will be available throughout the weekend as well an interactive tour through The Distillery.
Several break out parties, workshops and immersive events accompany the festival and are included for ticketholders. Several speakeasies are hidden within the festival grounds; off the beaten path you can search for Down The Rabbit Hole, but forewarned, figuring out the way will be half the fun. If you’re looking for a rare treat, be one of the lucky guests to taste and experience sixth-generation master distiller small and slow batch bourbon at Booker Noe’s Small Batch Bar.
Attendees will have the opportunity to sample eats from renowned and local celebrated chefs from over twenty Louisville restaurants, including The Manhattan Exchange, Doc Crow’s, Baxter’s 942 Bar & Grill, and more. Live cooking demos and stimulating panels will be available throughout the weekend by celebrity chefs, including, Unfiltered & Uncut with Chef Tom Colicchio, Love & Fried Chicken with Carla Hall, and Taste Trifecta by Chris Cosentino, Edward Lee and Mathew Landan.
The first of its kind in Louisville, Bourbon & Beyond captures the spirit of community with the heart and soul of Kentucky; combining the best of bourbon, barbeque and music into one weekend that is sure to be unforgettable.
