If you grew up in the 90s, chances are you slow danced at a middle or high school dance with your childhood sweetheart to a Boyz II Men hit! It may have even been your wedding song.

The group from Philly found fame on Motown Records and shot straight to superstardom and have not stopped since.

We CAN NOT WAIT to see them take the stage this weekend at KAABOO Del Mar. The trio even revealed they recently learned to play guitar which they will be showcasing along with their epic ballads on The Grandview Stage this Friday, set time 5:10PM.

Thank you for taking the time to chat with us! What made you decide to play Kaaboo Del Mar. Is there something special about this festival in particular that attracted you?

Festivals are always so much fun to play and are filled with a ton of great energy! The Kaaboo Del Mar festival has a great line up and we’re so excited to be in San Diego.

You have such a large song catalog with so many hits- End of The Road, I’ll Make Love to You, Motownphilly, the list goes on – what can fans expect to hear at Kaaboo?

The fans can expect that we’ll bring 100 percent as we always do. We are excited to to be there and looking forward to feeding off the crowd….always fun in Southern California!

Are you currently working on any new music? Will you be previewing anything at Kaaboo?

We’re always working on new projects and most recently, we lent our voices a new version of “Be Still Moses” originally recorded by Steep Canyon Rangers. Our first time in the Bluegrass space……it was REALLY FUN!!!!

At Kaaboo, you’ll get to see something that Nate and I have been working hard on–playing guitar. For the last few years, Nate and I have learned guitar and have incorporated it into our shows, it’s a really fun experience playing instruments on stage.

Your career was heavily influenced by the sounds of Motown. Why is Motown so important to you?

We grew up listening to Motown and started our careers singing Motown songs in our high school bathroom where we found the best acoustics. Motown was a factory of HITS and Groups and solo acts…thinking about it, it’s crazy how many LEGENDS came out of that building!

You’re known for so many great romance songs like “End of the Road”, “I’ll Make Love To You” and “On Bended Knee.” What inspires songs for you?

For me personally, I love writing records and creating things. Any and everything can inspire me from my family to being on the road. Just last week I wrote a jingle in the airport…it comes when it comes……
