BTS has lit LA’s Sofi Stadium purple as the band’s Permission to Dance, four concert date sweeps the stadium with sold out tickets, and surprise guest appearances like Megan Thee Stallion.
BTS is a super-powered k-pop group in the world of music. The two house set was immersive as ARMY was treated to smooth dance moves, confetti, lightshows, and even a secret chant for die hard ARMY fans. RM, Jin, V, J-Hope, Suga, Jimin and Jungkook, ruled the night as the kings of pop pounced on stage and welcomed fans with open arms. You could see the hard work and dedication the members put into creating a memorable experience for their fans. The concert was extremley well choreographed, and some fans got even closer to their bias’ as they loaded into an orange crane that led them through rows of fans further from the epicenter of the stage. Seeing them up close is a gift. They nail every move and hit the notes, changing things up to show this is no auto-tune show like many in pop music rely on. The boys are the real deal.
No matter where you landed in Sofi stadium BTS made sure all their fans had a front row seat. From the front row all the way up to seats in the upper levels, everyone in attendance gets an up-close and personal view of their favorite bias (Hi Kim Taehyung, aka V) thanks to a massive video screen viewable from anywhere in the 70,000-capacity stadium. During the conert a team was hard at work filming, and we had to sign an appearance waiver. This led us to ponder if the beloved k-pop supergroup will be dropping a documentary soon? From where we were standing, you could literally feel the heat from the pyrotechnics, which included flames on “Burning Up” and fireworks on “Dynamite.” We also had a front row view of the cameras running back and forth to catch the group’s best moments on stage. Between the choreography and the cinematography on stage sometimes it was dizzying to decide where to look. We mean that in the best way possible, too much awesome for our little eyeballs to contain their excitement. BTS is known for their cutting edge style and we’d be remiss not to mention “Black Swan.” The popular record is a banger, and the boys brought it to life on stage once again with stunning choreography. The show kicked off with “On” and then lead us through a two hour dynamic performance of their hits. Is it too early to wish for a BTS number 1’s only album/tour? Shh, let us be greedy you probably agree.
A huge highlight of the night was Megan Thee Stallion’s appearance. After having to cancel her collaboration with BTS at the American Music Awards, fans were finally treated to the long awaited live collab of their “Butter” remix. The fun pink outfit Megan appeared in went well with the pastel 90’s inspired looks BTS wore as part of this section of the concert. Do you think more surprise collabs might happen? Only time will tell, with two days left anything is possible.
BTS’ tour continues in Los Angeles on Nov. 28, Dec. 1 and 2.
