The Gibson Guitar Showroom in Beverly Hills provided a lovely backdrop for Carrie Ann Inaba’s Animal Project Benefit. The Animal Project’s mission is “to develop original programs to help our fellow animals in need, focusing on the homeless animal crisis in America at present.”

Among the presenters at the benefit we saw Aiden Turner (The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey) and the charming triple threat and former wife of Prince, Mayte Garcia.

Red carpet attendees included up and coming pop girl group from Asia, Blush, who performed later in the evening. Accompanying the girls and performing solo was The Voice’s Connie Lim, whose powerfully beautiful vocals stunned all in attendance and sent chills up the spine. Other performances included Native Alien Tribe, who showed off their rock/hip-hop/reggae influences to get the already lively audience moving. American Idol sweetheart Michelle Delamor also lent her vocals to an appreciative crowd.

Other supporters included TV personality Kato Kaelin, singer Andy Allo, actor Octavius Johnson, and director Jeff Margolis. Stuntman and funny guy Steve-O (JackassWildboyz) stopped to chat with PPLA for a moment and show us his inspiration for attending the benefit—his two rescue dogs. He also showed us an x-ray of the dime in his stomach, but we’re getting off topic here!

The evening was a solid hit beneath the high ceilings and exposed brick of the showroom with libations and vegetarian spreads from Whole Foods. The positive energy resonated throughout the room for a truly incredible cause. Cheers to Carrie Ann Inaba!
