Press Pass LA attended the 3rd Annual Cartoon Network’s Hall of Games Awards held at the Santa Monica Airport this weekend and airing on Cartoon Network on Monday Feb. 11th 7 ET/PT. We had the chance to talk to TV and sports stars alike including Olympians (check out their videos) Ryan Lochte and Victor Cruz of the New York Giants. The event was hosted by Shaquille O’Neal and Nick Cannon.

Cartoon Network counted the votes from the fans and awarded the coveted GAME Award during a fun-filled ceremony that included a special tribute to the stars of the 2012 Summer Olympic Games and Super Bowl champions the Baltimore Ravens.

Hosted by basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal and the multi-talented executive producer of Cartoon Network’s Incredible Crew Nick Cannon, the Hall of Game Awards included a performance by the U.K.’s hottest pop band, The Wanted, as well as by top freerunning group Team Tempest, competitive jump rope squad the Summerland Skippers, and world-renowned percussion crew the Street Drum Corps.

Celebrity guests and presenters included  Snoop Dogg, Colin Kaepernick (San Francisco 49ers), Jacoby Jones (Baltimore Ravens), Bryant McKinnie (Baltimore Ravens), Jimmy Smith (Baltimore Ravens), JJ Watt (Houston Texans), Victor Cruz (New York Giants), David Price (Tampa Bay Rays), Swin Cash (Chicago Sky), Tamika Catchings (Indiana Fever) and Chris Johnson (Tennessee Titans), actors Dominic Monaghan (The Lord of The Rings trilogy), Rico Rodriguez (Modern Family), Raini Rodriguez (Austin & Ally), Jeff Probst (Survivor), Laura Marano (Austin & Ally), Bridgit Mendler (Good Luck Charlie) Lucas Cruikshank (Fred); the casts of Big Time Rush (James Maslow, Carlos Pena, Jr. & Kendall Schmidt),Incredible Crew (Shauna Case, Shameik Moore, Tristan Pasterick, Chanelle Peloso, Jeremy Shada, and Brandon Soo Hoo) and Level Up (Gaelan Connell, Connor del Rio, Jessie T. Usher, Aimee Carrero), Toby Turner (Annoying Orange) and Olympic superstars, Kerri Walsh Jennings, Allyson Felix, Ryan Lochte, Conor Dwyer, Nathan Adrian, Carmelita Jeter, Gabby Douglas, McKayla Maroney, Aly Raisman and Jordyn Wieber.

Jessica Alba (Fantastic Four) presented the “2012 SI KIDS SPORTSKIDS OF THE YEAR” award to Cayden and Conner Long- brothers have competed across the country as a team in multiple races and triathlons even though Cayden was born with cerebral palsy. Other top GAME award winners of the night included “HE’S GOT GAME” winner LeBron James (Miami Heat) and “SHE’S GOT GAME” winner Gabby Douglas (Olympic gold medalist). As for the team “WE GOT GAME” award, once again no one could beat the U.S. Women’s Gymnastic Team. Finally Rocky (Denver Nuggets Mascot) won “MOST AWESOME MASCOT” after competing in a “Gangnam Style” dance off along with the other nominees and hosts Shaq and Nick Cannon. Other notable winners include 2013 Super Bowl Champions, Jacoby Jones, Bryant McKinnie and Jimmy Smith of the Baltimore Ravens being honored by Snoop Dogg aka Snoop Lion and Olympic gold medal-winning swimmer, Ryan Lochte taking home the award for “THAT’S HOW I ROLL.”

After the show, celebrities got to attend the Cartoon Network Lounge presented by GBK. They were treated to gifts including trips provided by Caribbean Living Magazine, sunglasses and hats by Dicks Cottons (the green sport glasses were the party favorite), a make your own ice cream sundae station by Farrell’s Ice Cream Parlour (how can you say no to rainbow sprinkles), bottles of Viva Diva Wines (we loved our mango mascoto…yum, not to mention the pretty bottle) and video games (we were told Colin Kaeprnick loves Call of Duty) and more!
