Press Pass LA was back on the beautiful island of Catalina for their annual film festival featuring more than 90 films, nightly events, and entertainment.
Just 22 miles of the coast of Los Angeles, the film festival is the only festival on a California resort island giving guests the taste of vacation while watching the latest movies in the running for awards season. Films are screened at multiple venues around the island, including the iconic, art deco, 1,200-seat Avalon Theatre— the world’s first sound theatre.
Catalina Film Festival is a competitive festival with awards in up to 10 categories, including the prestigious Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation “Great Communicator” Award, Charlie Chaplin ICON Award, Stanley Kramer “Social Artist” Award, and the ISLA Earth Award; an honor presented by the Festival’s beneficiary, the Catalina Island Conservancy.
