Golden Globes weekend is filled with activities and it can be hard to decide where to spend your time. That said, one stop on our itinerary we never miss is GBK’s annual luxury gifting lounge!
The event took place at the L’Hermitage Hotel in Beverly Hills and attracted guests including Viola Davis, Angela Bassett, Danny Huston, Anthony Anderson, Director Joe Russo, and Nominee Spike Lee (Director for “BlakkKlansman.”) There was also a reunion of the breakout cast of the hit Netflix film “Dumplin’” with stars Danielle Macdonald, Luke Benward and Odeya Rush all stopping by.
Other guests included Linda Cardellini, Mike Hatton and Dimiter Marinov of the 5-time Golden Globe nominated film Green Book, as well as actors Indya Moore & Angel Curiel (Nominated series “Pose”), Cole Allen, Juliet Morris & Bernard White (Nominated series “Kidding”), Keidrich Sellati (Nominated series “The Americans”), Darrell Britt-Gibson (Nominated series “Barry”), Matilda Szydagis (Nominated series “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”), Michael Beasley (Nominated series “Escape at Dannemora”), David S. Lee (Nominated film “Black Panther”), Coleman Domingo (Nominated film “If Beale Street Could Talk”) and more.
Attendees were welcomed at the event with beverages by JCB Spirits with signature cocktails made from their Vodka and Gin crafted in Burgundy from the finest Pinot Noir and Chardonnay and celebrity guests were gifted with a JCB tasting party for 12 and a bottle of their choice. Viola Davis was a fan!
While inside, guests got to experience WEN Hair and Body Care by Chaz Dean with Chaz himself on hand to give personal styling tips! Guests were treated to goody bags of his newest line of hair and body care products. We can’t wait to try the preview of WEN’s new winter line since we’re still gushing over the Spring Blossom line we were gifted at GBK’s Emmy event.
We also stopped by to see our friends at The Artisan Group, a long time staple of the GBK lounge, and picked up a lovely bag of hand made crafts including jewelry, bath salts, cards, and more. We always love seeing the unique designs and supporting local artisans.
Next stop for us was to ‘test drive’ the Kahuna Chair, a 4D massage chair, and the Kahuna LED anti-aging mask, both offering a relaxing break from a busy events weekend. Actress Linda Cardellini was also taking advantage!
Speaking of relaxing, Sailrock Resort was gifting nominees trips to Turks & Caicos! Anyone need a +1? We’re available 😉
In addition, Fit Farm, the nation’s premiere fitness retreat in Nashville, was gifting attendees a trip to come check out their full adult playground situated on 160 acres with the only permanent obstacle courses in the U.S. and 12 workout zones. Activities include yoga, hiking, fishing and more. We can’t think of a more perfect way to kick off your 2019 fitness resolutions.
One of our favorite aspects of the lounge is charity and we were happy to see Peace 4 Animals, a charity by Katie Cleary that Press Pass LA has long supported, in attendance to raise awareness for animal rights, as well as Stan Lee Foundation which supports arts and education. In addition, California Live, on NBC, partnered with GBK this year to gift Woolsey Firefighter, Kristina Dee Kepner, a Golden Globes experience for her dedication fighting the fires in California for 6 days straight. The California Live segment airs on NBC Monday January 7th.
Attendees also received gifts from PRSOPEK Glasses, Comfitude blankets, Go Donut stands for tablets and smartphones, Knot Standard menswear, Nicole Frank TWE fashion for women, Seraph Design clothing and accessories, Snow Teeth Whitening, Story Electric Bikes, Warthers Cutlery, Wonderlash lashes, Yomo Studio jewelry and accessories, Heitz Cellars wines, Total Life Changes skincare/teas/coffee/oils, and STK Restaurant.
