Chrysalis Butterfly Ball Hosted by Terry Crews Raises Support to Prevent Homelessness

On September 30th, the highly anticipated Chrysalis Butterfly Ball returned this year with a fundraiser at the Peterson Automotive Museum hosted by emcee Terry Crews.

The gala raises fundraising for services that are proven solutions to solving and preventing homelessness. The event began with a red carpet and outdoor cocktail reception, followed by a sit-down dinner, awards ceremony, and live music performance. This year’s honorees included Lionsgate Chair Joe Drake and President Nathan Kahane, and United Talent Agency’s Partner & Co-Head of Talent Chris Hart.

Past honorees have included Betsy Beers, Common, Donna Langley, Jennifer Hudson, Olivia Wilde, Queen Latifah, Ryan Murphy, Salma Hayek, Scott Stuber, Seth MacFarlane, and Will Packer.

Chrysalis serves people navigating barriers to the workforce by offering a job-readiness program, individualized supportive services, and paid transitional employment. The organization empowers our individuals on their pathway to stability, security, and fulfillment in their work and lives.

Since 1984, Chrysalis has served more than 81,000 individuals at its six centers and locations throughout Southern California. They offer numerous resources, including case management, a job-readiness curriculum, resume preparation, practice interviews, access to computers, professional attire, transitional employment, and job-retention support. In 2022, 1,594 clients secured employment while utilizing Chrysalis’ services and 1,709 worked a transitional job with our employment social enterprise. For more informationm visit www.ChangeLives.org.
