Destination: Palm Springs

Angelenos are a jet setting bunch. Who can relate to a friend always being out of town? Which is why a weekend away to Palm Springs is the perfect local getaway.

Palm Springs is two hours outside of LA, and a beautiful desert oasis waiting to be discovered. Acme invited a group of influencers down for a four day stay in collaboration with Dawn McCoy. Each influencer had their own house, and we were able to enjoy the beauty of Boho Rhapsody. Our editor Carolina Bonetti, is wild for it and can’t picture staying at another home, she loved Boho Rhapsody so much. Acme manages an impressive portfolio of homes which are as distinct as the many personalities which reside here in the city of angels. The homes feature a binder full of all questions you can possbily have for your stay, as well as a direct line which lets you call management at anytime. Other features included with booking at Acme stay are pool side massages, and groceries (ready for your arrival). Which lets face it, who wants to go on vacation only to go grocery shopping? We don’t. Acme’s handy binder is also full of local restaurants complete with addresses and numbers.

Though each home is different, this is why we fell in love with Boho Rhapsody as much as we did. The home is bright and airy with a beautiful wooden swing located in the living room. It’s the best spot to enjoy your coffee in the am. You can sit for hours and only feel as if a moment went by. The interior design for you design junkies is to die for. If you love subway tiles in the bathroom with a soft color palette, giant walk in closets, and light industrial touches, you will be under Boho Rhap’s spell. The outdoor area also features a small pool which converts into a spa…shall we say a spool then? Set beside a wonderful outdoor bbq and a firepit ( which was not working during our stay, we suggest inquiring) it really is the perfect backyard. The only thing that could’ve made Boho Rhapsody better would have been the inclusion of games. We’d love for them to add a giant Jenga and playing cards. With the backyard being as inviting as it is, games would be a welcome addition. We have to mention that if you book the Lions Gate Estate you’ll be thrilled to see they have an entire sand Bocce Ball pit. We may have been a tad envious of the Bocce Ball pit…but, we would take the laid back class of Boho Rhapsody anyday. Take a look at Acme’s website and let us know if you see a favorite house and why. When you do hop on there, we suggest you search out their Anthony Bourdain inspired home, it has a pink flamingo wallpaper in one of the bedrooms (goals). Justin Wine’s also included a little surprise for everyone on the trip by gifting us a bottle of their wine.

Another wonderful aspect of Palm Springs is their utter lack of traffic (if thats not reason enough to get you out of LA you clearly don’t live here). We spent a day on the town in Palm Desert, setting out early in the day to check out the shops at El Paseo. The shops are gorgeous and feature a wide array of choices. Whether you’re looking for make up like Mac Cosmetics, Hair services like All Tressed Up, vitamin shots at True You Medical, or one of a kind spices for the chef in you at The Savory Spice, you can find it all on El Paseo.

With 33 bloggers in tow we headed for lunch at the AC3 which is located in Hotel El Paseo. They have their own special twist on the popular Aperol Spritz which is a must try. Their turkey club is out of this world if you are popping by for lunch, we cannot stress enough how much you should try this sandwhich.

Dawn McCoy curated a full brunch she whipped up herself alongside her magic elves for the final day of the trip on location at Acme’s Kirk Douglas home. The final day included pooltime, lawn games, and a beautiful gifting suite curated by The Shops on El Paseo. The Shops on El Paseo were unbelievably thoughtful and held a gifting suite for everyone invited. We were spoiled with treats from El Paseo Jewelers who gifted us gorgeous earrings, the Savory Spice Shop who spoiled the chef’s in all of us with unique best selling spices like their Baja Fish Taco seasoning. We also recived new laptop bags from Sephora, beautiful pillow covers from Between the Sheets Inc, and treats from Anthropologie, Saks, and more.
