8 Night’s at Birdie G’s Chef Dinner Series is back and we could not be more excited to try these unique menu items!
This year, Westside staple Birdie G’s has put together an impressive roster of world-class Chefs to take over their menus for 8 nights of special dishes.
This year’s featured chefs include Nancy Silverton (Mozza), Grant Achatz (Alinea), Shaina Loew-Banayan (Cafe Mutton), Jihee Kim (Perilla), Miles Shorey (Pijja Palace), Aisha Ibrahim (Canlis), Kevin Tien (Moon Rabbit), Spencer Horovitz (Hadeem), Chad Colby (Antico Nuovo), Ryan Bartlow (Ernesto’s), Katianna & John Hong (Yangban), Matthew Schaler (Birdie G’s), Jonny Black (Chez Noir), Jon Harris (Linden), Jason Hammel (Lula Café), and Kwang Uh (Baroo).
We were lucky enough to snag a reservation on Night 1 and try the dishes curated by Nancy Silverton and Shaina Loew-Banayan.
The menu featured appetizers that included turnips & quince, blutwurst, little gem lettuces, and matzo fried oysters. Entree dishes included baked pork trotters, braised beef tongue and yellowtail spiedini, duck ham & yam, and cone cabbage contorni.
These were all dishes I can honestly say I’ve never tried and typically wouldn’t be my go- to order, but it was amazing to try new flavors done exquisitely by these master chefs. One of the best things about trying new locations and foods in our series, is getting exposure beyond my traditional palette.
Desserts included delicious biscotti misti and cream puffs! We also sampled their seasonal holiday cocktails and wine.
One of our favorite things about Birdie G’s was the New-York vibe ambiance. We felt like we could be at an eatery in Manhattan just as easily as we were on the west side of LA. We will definitely be going back!
The event runs through December 12th so don’t hesitate to snag your Resy!
