Dinner Diaries: ROKC NYC

We escaped The City of Angels for some time in The Big Apple and of course we couldn’t jump coasts without finding the must have dinner destinations for you. Lets kick off 2020 with our take on ROKC.

ROKC is the joint to go for some of the best ramen in NYC. You’ll find the little ramen bar on Broadway and 141st street. It’s set back and down into the street side which makes it easy to pass, so be sure to keep an eagle eye out for its stairway. This ramen spot spoils its patrons with $3 oysters, and some of the best craft cocktails you’ll find uptown. For all of our Celiac foodies rest easy, ROKC also offers gluten free ramen options.

Veggie Ramen

This delectable vegetable ramen comes in a combo shiitake mushroom based broth with house miso. It is topped with truffle oil and king mushroom brussel sprouts, corn, seaweed, scallions, and pink pepper. You will not be disappointed. Gluten free noodles are available on all their orders for an additional $3.

Mazemen (Yokosuka Curry)

We absolutely died, died again and came back for this little slice of perfection right here. The ramen is made in a coconut milk shrimp paste and green curry based broth ( food Gods deliver us). Topped with Shrimp as well as shrimp oil, fried shallots, cauliflower, peppers, and cilantro. Take a deep breath because this is an experience.

Grapefruit Cocktail

This cocktail is made with Mezcal, Grapefruit, lime, and palo santo…because yes, even your drinking is blessed here.

Warm Apple Cocktail

Hands down the cutest drinking buddy to come out with an ordered cocktail. They’re lucky we didn’t smuggle him home..although we may or may not have named him. This is their Warm Apple cocktail and yes you guessed it, it is a hot cocktail, which is perfect for winter. It is a special of theirs, so you’ll just have to try it to figure out all the ingredients. You’ll be sure to taste apple and hints of cinnamon as it warms your insides.

Let us know when you go to ROKC. We were over the moon for this little spot. It is 100% a NYC must list.
