Hollywood’s biggest television stars celebrated the 65th Emmy Awards all weekend by attending some of the hottest parties in town. We had the pleasure of attending the Entertainment Weekly pre-Emmy Party honoring the 2013 nominees and the stars of the new fall TV season. Sponsored by L’Oreal Paris and bebe, the star-studded soiree was held at Fig & Olive in West Hollywood.
The red carpet heated up with celebrities including: Candice Accola (The Vampire Diaries), Uzo Aduba & Laura Prepon (Orange is the New Black), Steven Bauer (Ray Donovan), Julie Bowen (Modern Family), Dwyane Wade and girlfriend Gabrielle Union, Tamala Jones (Castle), Padma Lakshmi (Top Chef), Alfre Woodard (Steel Magnolias), Amber Riley (Glee, DWTS), Dan Bucatinsky (Scandal), Pooch Hall (Ray Donovan), Jesse Metcalf (Dallas), Joe Morton (Scandal), Harry Hamlin (Mad Men), Blair Underwood (Ironside), Jenna Ushkowitz (Glee), Tony Goldwyn (Scandal) and many, many more.
With Scandal premiering its third season on October 3rd, we got a chance to speak to some of the cast about the highly anticipated season. Jeff Perry (who plays Cyrus Beene) said, “Season 3 is so much fun!” Bellamy Young (who plays the First Lady, Mellie Grant) described the Emmys as “TV Prom.” She couldn’t share too much about the upcoming season but she did say, “It’s incredible! I’m really, really so proud. The writers blew my mind. And our guest cast this year, I mean we are just so lucky to work with such a great group of people.” Bellamy said that Episode 3 is her favorite and one of their best so far. We can’t wait to see it! The show’s star, Kerry Washington is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her extraordinary role as Olivia Pope.
This was one of many fabulous parties to celebrate TV’s biggest weekends and we were happy to be a part of it!
