FACE FORWARD GALA BENEFITS VICTIMS OF VIOLENCE

PPLA attended the Face Forward Gala on September 15th at The Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills to benefit victims of violence who need reconstructive surgery. The gala was hosted by celebrity talent Tom Arnold and Bonnie Somerville.

Renowned plastic surgeon and biochemist David Alessi, and his wife Deborah Alessi, CEO of Alessi Skincare founded Face Forward back in 2007. It is a non-profit organization that provides facial surgical reconstructive services for women and children who have been victims of violence through gang or domestic violence. The organization vows to offer each victim the best possible treatment pro-bono.

Their annual gala featured a Moroccan-themed evening that included a cocktail hour with live music and belly dancing entertainment, a star-filled red carpet, a silent auction, and formal dinner that included a performance by Assia Ahhatt, world renowned Ukrainian violinist. The night was hosted by celebrity guests Tom Arnold and Bonnie Somerville and honored athletes Lorenzo Neal (ex San Diego Charger and Sports Illustrated All-Decade Team member), Nick Young (76ers), and Dennis Smith (retired Denver Bronco pro-bowler) for their involvement with the charity. Other talent in attendance included Boxer Champion David Roriguez, therapist-host Dr. Jenn Berman (Couples Therapy on VH1), actress Katie Cleary (Iron Man 2), actor Shaun Toub (Iron Man) and wife Lorena (fashion designer), actress Jennifer Coolidge (Two Broke Girls), comedian Stephen Kramer Glickman, and more.

The evening really showcased talent in all areas- be it actors, musicians, or doctors- giving back for a worthy cause!
