Italian fashion designer, Danilo Gabrielli gave Los Angeles fashion lovers an exclusive look at his beautiful Fall/Winter 2012 line. Held at Mayfair House in Beverly Hills, guests were treated to an up close and personal experience with the designer and were able to be very hands on with the garments.
There were models walking around the event showing off several looks from the collection. The clothes were absolutely gorgeous. It was obvious that a lot of hard work went into producing them. Danilo’s inspiration came from the 1940’s era showing a touch of masculinity balanced with a feminine flair.
The collection was filled with deep, rich colors consisting of dark red, brown, lots of black, crisp white, charcoal gray and metallic silver. Danilo used luxe materials such as tweeds, knits, plaid and faux fur that will easily cater to the classic, sophisticated woman.
The stand out piece was a wool trench coat with a sequined overlay and a leather belt at the waist. Women were lined up to try it on and we were right behind them. The craftsmanship was impeccable. We caught up with the designer and he told us that he was one of twenty emerging designers that were featured in the Launch Pad exhibit at WWDMagic in Las Vegas.
Being based in New York City, Gabrielli also had the opportunity to show his new collection at Nolcha Fashion Week which showcased independent fashion designers. Needless to say, Danilo Gabrielli is proving to be a very strong force in the fashion world.
