FASHION FOOD AND MORE AT FIGAT7TH EVENT

For lovers of food, fashion, music, and mingling last Thursday’s event at Figat7th shopping center was the place to be and be seen.

Among other VIP attendees we saw Ashley Tisdale and beau Christopher French goofing off at the photo booth, E’s Fashion Police Co-Host George Kotsiopoulos, and fashion historian and Decades founder and owner, Cameron Silver. Mayer Hawthorne stepped away from the mic and behind the turntables, to provide the evening’s ear candy (making sure to weave in samplings of his own tracks) amid a sea of models in flowy white floor-length dresses.

TASTE at FIG provided generous options to snack on in addition to unique cocktails. Selections included decadent sandwiches from The Melt (mac n cheese grilled cheese anyone?), sliders a la Juicy Lucy, Chicken Tikka Masala (vegetarian options, too!) from Indus by Saffron, and a Southwestern Chicken Salad from Twist & Grill. No meal is complete without dessert, and no taste bud was left unsatisfied. Pazzo Gelato enlightened foodies to distinctive flavors such as strawberry basil and Sprinkles boasted their famous red velvet cupcake in adorable mini form. City Tavern’s lovely patio area allowed guests to sip and dine beneath the gorgeous DTLA lights and skyline.

Those who chose to shop the night away had their choice of Zara, H&M, MAC, Bath & Body Works, and Victoria’s Secret.

This memorable evening is just a taste of what is to come all summer long (until August 22nd) at the Downtown Festival hosted every Friday night at FIGat7th. Free outdoor concerts from leading groups are just one of the main draws. For more information visit www.figat7th.com/events/Fig@7thAshleyTisdale
