Have you heard of the Christmas Magic that is the Miracle Pop Up bar? What is Miracle you say? Miracle is a Christmas-themed pop-up cocktail bar that serves holiday cocktails in a festive setting. With kitschy holiday décor, professionally-developed cocktails and the nostalgic energy of the best office party you’ve ever been to, Miracle is sure to get even the grouchiest grinch in the holiday spirit. The concept was born in 2014 when upon the advice of his mother, owner Greg Boehm decided to halt construction of what was to be his new East Village cocktail bar called Mace and transformed the unfinished space into a pop-up bar serving holiday-themed drinks among over-the-top Christmas decorations. As crowds swarmed the NYC location, Boehm’s friends throughout the bar industry asked how they could recreate the holiday magic on their own turf and expansion became inevitable. The following year, Miracle expanded to 4 locations and in 2016, it went worldwide with pop-ups in Greece, Montreal and Paris. Currently, Boehm and manager Joann Spiegel are pleased to expand the concept to all corners of the US, plus pop-ups in Canada, Europe, Asia, and Central America. If you’re traveling for Christmas be sure to check out all their locations found don their site HERE.

Is it really the holidays without The Nutcracker? The Moscow Ballet’s Great Russian Nutcracker is coming to The Wiltern for not one but two nights at the end of December. You can catch the stunning classic December 21-22. With performances around the world you can check HERE if they’re coming to your city this year. Enjoy strolling performers, gingerbread house making, stocking decorating, or a sweet treat or libation as you watch live entertainment on the outdoor stage before climbing aboard the Queen Mary to take in the dazzling decor. The merriment continues aboard the ship, where you’ll find Mrs. Claus reading stories to little ones and Ol’ Saint Nick hosting meet-and-greets in his Captain’s Quarters. The Queen Mary’s 4-D Theater will screen a special 4-D version of The Polar Express movie, complete with hot cocoa smells and snow flurries for a magical movie experience.

This weekend She&Him are playing a sold out show at The Ace Theater in DTLA. If you can snag a ticket, what better way to enjoy the holidays than their Christmas album which is perfect for setting the mood? She&Him also have Patton Oswalt opening for them which is a real treat. What better way to kick off the holidays than music for the season, and treating yourself to drinks at The Ace’s renovated bar? If you absolutely can’t make it, you should put their Christmas album on your downloads for your holiday music playlist.
