Every year the GBK Gift Lounge puts on a show-stopping event prior to the Emmy Awards to shower the nominees and presenters with a day of pampering and luxury. Press Pass LA has been lucky enough to witness and take part in the festivities again this year.
The event was held at the L’Ermitage Hotel in Beverly Hills and enclosed three indoor rooms plus an outdoor space. Guest enjoyed the sounds of DJ Morgan Hildebrand while taking in the event. While there were an endless array of vendors to visit, we of course, had our favorites!
You can’t go the the GBK Lounge without stoping by The Artisan Group. This table features an array of work by talented artisans who collectively gifted guests with a bag filled with their hand-crafted products including soap & cosmetics, jewelry, stationary, and more.
Next up we stopped by Brow Art 23, who provided us with some on-camera tips for A-list eyebrows! They also gave us a complimentary brow-threading at the booth and gifted a 4-pallet eye shadow, lipstick, mirror, mascara, and brow gel & cake. Also featuring beauty included KIND Soap Company with their natural bath and body products for men, women, and children, and Beauty Kitchen by Heather Marianna featuring natural spa products in whimsical shapes like the delicious smelling cupcake bath bomb I brought home.
If you were in the mood for a quick refreshment you could swing by Barry’s Gourmet Brownies (we loved the peanut butter fudge!) grab some refreshing water from JeJu Sixteen (water purified through 16 layers of volcanic rock in JeJu island off South Korea), sample kkAda Caramel Liqeur or try a LIQRpop (the first frozen confection with a full serving of alcohol), or sip Sequin Wines‘ sparkling Pinot Grigio or Moscato. Plus, guests has a chance to take home a Corazon’s Custom Catering gift for a ‘Food Tasting Party’ to sample French-Filipono fusion dishes by Chef Charm.
For tech and pet lovers, The Original Pet Pal was offering celebs pet bedding complete with its own patented heartbeat simulation technology to calm your pups. Other tech gadgets we loved included the LG Electronics LG Tone Infinim, the perfect blue tooth solution for a busy A-lister on the go.
You couldn’t miss the Star Power money booth where celebrities where invited to collect cash in a wind-blown casing to benefit their favorite charities. A few other charitable vendors included GO Campaign helping orphans and vulnerable children around the globe, Environmental Media Association which uses the power of the entertainment industry to highlight environmental issues, Cops 4 Causes, highlighting the philanthropic efforts of law enforcement, and Mutt Match LA a rescue organization that rescues dogs from high risk shelters. They had the cutest black chihuahua mix available for cuddling and adoption!
The premier sponsor was Michael Todd True Organics gifting the SONICLEAR, the world’s first antimicrobial sonic skin cleaning system which we can not wait to try. For other health conscious products, we enjoyed visiting with Skinny & Co. Coconut Oil, the only hand-pressed 100% RAW coconut oil in the world containing 12 coconuts a jar and promoting muscle recovery, joint function, and balance within the body. Perfect to eat right out of the jar or add to your morning coffee. Not to mention an amazing oil for your skin! Sleep is also vital to one’s skin and overall health and Maxim Mattress was there gifting $1k gift cards to their luxury line of beds. Lastly, David Barton Gym was offering memberships and personal training for those aiming to get in shape in style.
Red carpet jewelry is of course a staple of any luxury lounge! Couture Rocks Fine Jewelry was gifting a $200 gift card to nominees and Di Modolo Milano had their 18k Gold and Diamond one-of-a- kind pieces perfect for the Emmys on display.
If you are still making your Emmy predictions, don’t leave the lounge without chatting with Psychic Joanna Garzilli and pick up a copy of her book “Unleash the Psychic in You: How To Trust Your Intuition for Success.”
In case you need some post-Emmys rehab, there were plenty of luxurious destinations on display including The Mulia, Mulia Resort & Villas in Nusa Dua, Bali, The Little Nell Aspen’s only 5 star ski-in/ski-out resort, and Palace Resorts and Caribbean Living. And if staying local is more your style, the Crescent Hotel Beverly Hills was offering a one night stay at this sexy boutique destination. Can you say stay-cation!!! Don’t forget to bring your favorite shades by Foster Grant, the first U.S. sunglasses manufacturer, for those spectacular beachside moments.
We can’t wait to see who takes home the an Emmy this year and here’s to the GBK Luxury Lounge for Emmys 2015.
