GBK, the luxury lifestyle lounge, and Pilot Pen hosted an exclusive Golden Globes lounge for celebrities and nominees at the W Hotel in Hollywood.

gina-rodriguez_Pilot-pensAt the Pilot Pen display, celebrities were introduced to the Japanese origami tradition, which states that if you fold 1000 origami cranes, a wish will be granted. We bet a few nominees had a certain wish! Luckily, Pilot Pen had 1000 origami birds ready to go so attendees were invited to write a wish for their charity of choice while sharing it on social media using #pilotwish. Pilot is making a $5000 donation to the individual whose charity receives the most shares, retweets, or regrams.  All guests also received the Vanishing Point Fountain Pen, the world’s first and favorite retractable fountain pen, and FriXion Clicker Erasable Gel Ink Pen 8 Pack Pouch.

I wished for a vacation…and what do you know, the lounge had quite a few for the Globes Nominees including a three night stay at Puerto Vallarta Beach Club in a private, spacious 3 bedroom villa; 4 nights at Ce Blue Villas Beach Resort in Crocus Bay/Anguilla for 2 guests from Caribbean Living; an amazing Villa at the Viceroy in Bali; and JetSmarter, provided one month memberships for private flights worldwide, which includes wholesale jet pricing and free empty leg flights. I can see myself on a private plane to paradise now…

In the meantime, I checked out some of the unique products at the lounge like laptop bags and tablet cases from Solo, reusable beeswax food wrap that keeps food fresh naturally from Abeego (perfect, as I’m the Queen of leftover); the world’s first performance fabric sheets from SHEEX; Creeper Crawlers developmental clothing for babies (get ready my new Mom friends!); and gifts from LG Electronics. The GBK lounge also featured several charity beneficiaries including: Lambda Legal, World VisionYES, Beat Liver Tumor.Bethany Joy Lenz

Speaking of wish fulfillment and doing good,  Citizen e-Cig, a company dedicated to helping undo the hazards of smoking and get as many current smokers to quit through switching to the e-Cig alternative, was also at the lounge offering complimentary products. Yay for quitters!

It wouldn’t be an awards lounge without fashion and beauty. Our annual FAV is The Artisan Group featuring custom home goods and jewelry by local artisans. Beyond the Rack gifted attendees with $50 gift cards to go shopping and Canada Bliss gifted premium crochet hats just in time for the cold, rainy weather Globes weekend.

Despite the drizzle, celebs could still look fabulous with prodcuts from Burke Williams and H2V, gifting H2V’s new Eye-tox 3 serum and a gift certificate for a Burke Williams Advanced Eye Lift enhancement.  And after the awards are said and done, celebs can take a long hot bath with products from Beauty Kitchen by Heather Marianna who provided her skin polish, hand cut luscious soap bars and natural spa products.

Before exiting the lounge, I grabbed a snack at Barry’s Gourmet Brownies (love the peanut butter chocolate brownies) and Cupcake Fusion L.A., where I had my first-ever taco themed cupcake (hot sauce included)!  I also tasted small bites from Corazon’s Custom Catering, a family-owned business that caters a fusion of Filipino-French cuisine. This paired perfectly with cocktails from Bare Oganic Mixers, low-calorie, gluten-free mixers,  and wine from Nuvino, the first premium single-serve pouch wine. Somebody call me my Uber!

Celebrities in attendance included Viola Davis, Gina Rodriguez, Bethany Joy Lenz, Candace Cameron, Cheech Marin, Casper Smart, Chord Overstreet, Garey Busey, Gilbert Gottfried, Jason Ritter, Johnathon Schaech, and more.

We can’t wait to see who takes home the trophies this Sunday, but everyone at this lounge was certainly a winner.
