GO Campaign is a nonprofit focused on serving orphans and vulnerable children around the world has pulled in big name talent for a virtual fundraiser set for October 24th.
The Go Campaign virtual event will be hosted by none other than Robert Pattinson, Lily Collins and Ewan McGregor. The Go Campaign’s free online event will feature musical performances from Haim, Katharine McPhee and David Foster, Judith Hill, McGregor and Mary Elizabeth Winstead as well as McGregor’s daughter, Esther McGregor and her band French Thyme. All money raised will support GO Campaign’s continued efforts for global COVID-19 relief and racial equality in the United States.
“I’m grateful that we can still come together virtually and now globally to help raise funds for GO Campaign and its mission to support families and children worldwide,” said Robert Pattinson in a statement. Lily Collins also shared her thoughts on the evening: “We have the power and platform to make really impactful changes to so many people’s lives. I love supporting the GO Campaign and am excited about helping children and families in all these communities.” Ewan McGregor said of the opportunity to give back on behalf of GO serves as a reminder that “we are all a part of a bigger” global family. “In this time when we are restricted in our travel, it’s fantastic that GO Campaign still allows us to make a meaningful impact around the world,” he added.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, GO Campaign has granted more than $176,000 in emergency relief to grassroots organizations, provided 1,085,760 meals and 46,155 masks to children and vulnerable communities, helped 3,899 families with groceries and household supplies and other efforts.
