GOOD MORNING AMERICA & QVC FIGHT CANCER

Super-heroes are a big theme this summer and not just in the movies! In fact, Good Morning America Host Lara Spencer will be teaming up with powerhouse home shopping network QVC to help fight against the world’s least recognizable cancer-– ovarian cancer- by appearing as a super-hero in both print and TV public service announcements.

As PPLA fans know, charity and philanthropy are an important part of our entertainment coverage, which is why when we heard that TV’s top entertainment morning show and top shop-at-home network were joining forces on this mission, we couldn’t help but go all Wonder Woman on you and tell you how to get involved!

Lara Spencer, best known for her “Pop News” report on GMA, will be appearing in these ads as a part of ‘QVC Presents Super Saturday Live’- a charitable designer sale that supports the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF). The ‘Super Saturday Live’ show will be broadcasted from the Hamptons and will air Saturday, July 28 from 2 PM –-4 PM (ET). It  will feature a variety of premier fashion, jewelry and beauty brands, at HALF the manufacturer’s suggested retail price with net proceeds benefitting OCRF. Select brands scheduled to be featured include Peter Thomas Roth, Judith Ripka, Amrita Singh, Honora, B. Makowsky and more!

So for all you fashionistas out there who want to make a difference, this is your chance to ‘Get What Matters’ for your closet and help support women’s cancer research.
