CARTOON NETWORK- HALL OF GAME AWARDS

Do you know what hundreds of star-struck kids hopped up on Cheetos and Rold Gold pretzels sound like? Well, suffice to say the noise generated by these cheering young fans was almost equal to the roar of the corporate jets that flew above them at the 2012 Cartoon Network Hall of Game Awards Saturday afternoon.

Hosted by basketball legend and TNT NBA analyst Shaquille O’Neal, the Cartoon Network Hall of Game Awards is high-energy, anything-goes experience that lets viewers vote for their favorite sports stars and sports moments of the year.

The second annual event held at a Santa Monica, CA airport hangar, attracted a wide array of athletes, musicians and celebrities including NFL players Tim Tebow, Victor Cruz, Terrell Suggs and MLB stars Clayton Kershaw, Matt Kemp and Torii Hunter.

The sight of iCarly co-stars Jennette McCurdy and Nathan Kress sent the crowd into an all-out frenzy, as did the arrival of the cast of Cartoon Network’s Dude, What Would Happen. When it airs, music lovers will be treated to performances by both hip-hop artist Flo Rida and pop boy band Hot Chelle Rae, who walked the red carpet.

Rico Rodriguez, star of Modern Family, serves as co-host and assured us that there will be not only on stage celebrity surprises, but also hilarious hijinks wrapped up into one awesome awards show.

The show airs tonight, February 20th, at 7 p.m. (ET/PT) on Cartoon Network so be sure to tune in!
