Lin Manuel Miranda is having a good day today! Hamilton was bought by the Walt Disney company for a staggering $75 million. This price tag marks the biggest film acquisition of a theater production in history. Hamilton is a world wide phenomenon. The musical boasts 11 Tony Awards, as well as a Pulitzer Prize for drama.

If you’re one of the hundreds of thousands singing along to the Hamilton soundtrack in your car without having seen the original, this is for you. This is also a huge plus for theater. Broadway was up in revenue last year, but Hamilton has been a phenomenon which has transcended genre’s and reinvigorated theater. Now we can all enjoy the show in the autumn of 2021. We can’t wait to snag a seat!
