Lately you can’t turn a single social media or reality show clip on without the latest health craze for vitamin shots and IV’s, worth the hype? We headed to The Hydration Room in Pasadena to find out for ourselves.

IVs and Vitamin boost shots are so popular now, you can even book yourself a treatment on Class Pass, the accessibility to them has never been more prevalent. We trekked over to Pasadena to check out The Hydration Room to see what the fuss was all about for ourselves. If you’re asking yourself “what is the Hydration Room?” Don’t worry we did too. The basic tenet for the treament is as follows, it’s a vitamin based IV and injection clinic. The Hydration Room aims to support patients’ health with vitamin based formulas created by board-certified anesthesiologist Dr. Brett Florie and administered by professionally trained registered nurses. Hydration Room products are of the highest quality and customized for each individual’s specific symptoms. Treatments are delivered in a relaxing, comfortable and pristine environment. We had a double shot of their B12 vitamin and their Immunity shot in a private room which was nice (and be warned it’s a booty shot, expect to drop your pants). Meanwhile, IV and injection therapy is a powerful way to achieve and maintain optimal health, and those therapies last longer and are administered in their comfy recliners just past reception. Translation: IV Therapy doesn’t get a private room but it’s comfortable and the area isn’t overly large so you don’t have to worry about it being crowded.

The shot did leave us feeling energetic, we’d been fighting off a bit of a head cold and the immunity boost helped to clear it right up along with our healthy diet, excersize and sleep. That being said, it did make the cold clear up pretty quickly while aiding us to avoid a second cold as we boarded a flight a measly 24hrs later. Is the shot magical? No, probably not, but it didn’t hurt and we did feel better in the moment.

They have around 20 locations and are spattered across SoCal. You can find out more about their times, and locations here.

What do you think? Have you been wanting to try vitamin shots or IV therapy? Have you tried it and liked the results? Seen any difference? Let us know your thoughts below, we’d love to hear from you.

The treatments are advertised with a host of reported benefits. In addition to the most widely cited benefit of curing hangovers, IV vitamin treatments can supposedly help fight exhaustion and boost the immune system. However, there is little scientific evidence to back these claims – Source: Cedars-Sinai.org
