Inaugural Leimert Park Cultural Film Festival Debuts Saturday, October 23rd

The heart of LA’s Africa Town is celebrating it’s contributions and rich history of film with the inagural Leimert Park Cultural Film festival.

This community event is in the heart of LA’s historic Africatown. The historic night will feature a showcase: of Avant-garde filmmakers (Eight Short Films), a Red Carpet Event including the Cast of Clap (Premiering as the Feature Film for the Evening) who will arrive in full costume and horseback, a Recognition of Local Elders, a Drum Blessing Ceremony honoring Black ancestors followed by endless rounds of Africa’s top 40 Afrobeat tunes. The event will also be collecting canned goods for donation. Chic African-Inspired Attire is encouraged for guests attending.
