Jimmy Kimmel Tapped To Host Possible Virtual Emmys

Not only will Jimmy Kimmel be hosting the virtual Emmys this year, he is also set to executive produce.

Many know Jimmy Kimmel as the host of ABC’s hit late night show Jimmy Kimmel Live! He will be returning this year to host The Emmy’s for the third time, paving the way for possibly the first ever virtual rendition of The Emmy’s as it celebrates it’s 72nd year of awards. It is not clear whether this year’s Emmy Awards, which are set to take place on Sunday, September 20, will be live in-person or virtual, but the coronavirus pandemic already has forced organizers to turn the Creative Arts Emmys into a Virtual event, and has cancelled the annual Governors Balls.

Jimmy Kimmel had this to say about the upcoming Emmy Awards: “I don’t know where we will do this or how we will do this or even why we are doing this, but we are doing it and I am hosting it,” .
