John Krasinski Is PEOPLE’s 2024 Sexiest Man Alive

John Krasinski was just named PEOPLE’s 2024 Sexiest Man Alive, joining a slew of hotties to come before him including Brad Pitt, Idris Elba, and Channing Tatum, to name a few.

According to People Magazine, Krasinski’s reacton was “Just immediate blackout, actually. Zero thoughts… Other than maybe I’m being punked. That’s not how I wake up, thinking, ‘Is this the day that I’ll be asked to be Sexiest Man Alive?’ And yet it was the day you guys did it. You guys have really raised the bar for me.”

Fans first fell in love with Krasinski as a prank-loving paper salesman in The Office, then as an intense former Marine turned CIA agent in Jack Ryan. Most recently he’s taken his turn as an Director with the A Quiet Place franchise. He also wrote, starred and directed in this year’s hit film If, alongside Ryan Reynolds. Perhaps his favorite role is devoted husband to actress, wife Emily Blunt and their two daughters, Hazel and Violet.

Krasinski told PEOPLE of how the new title might affect his world, “I think it’s going to make me do more household chores,” he jokes. “After this comes out, she’ll (Blunt) be like, ‘All right, that means you’re going to really earn it here at home.’ ”
