The stay-cation getaway is here to stay! Here’s FIVE reasons why we’re obsessed with The Kinney, and you should be too.
First of all whether you’re actually vacationing from out of town, or making the long commute to the West Side; Venice is everything you need in beach culture. The Kinney is located right beside Venice’s famous Abbot Kinney and you can spend the day shopping, and eating your way through it’s wiles just a stones throw from the beach. If you’re a big movie lover you’ll be thrilled to be walking distance from the Venice Canals located just a few short blocks away. Make sure to pay attention to your directions, as the little idyllic community can be tricky to find. But once there (especially during the sunset or rise) you’ll be swept away in it’s quiet beauty. It’s also been the star of many a Hollywood movie location. The Kinney also gives guests access to their beach cruisers, it’s a prime pick up spot for Ubering your way through the night as you plan your adventures. If you plan your trip right you can swing by Brennan’s pub for their Thursday night Turtle Races. You can rent a turtle for $5 and it’s a lot of yelling and enthusiastic support: beware if you point it’s a $10 fine. Yikes!
Wake up and hit the beach in the morning after relaxing in the Kinney’s colorful designs, and comfortable beds. We had a hard time getting out of bed to make it to Power Yoga in the morning; the beach IS walking distance. We’re sure you’ll make it there… at some point. If you do skip the sights and choose to stay in at The Kinney, they have a pool, hot tub, outdoor bar and fireplace you can lounge at. All without venturing too far from your ultra cushy bed.
If you’re just looking to reconnect with your zen for a night or two The Kinney is the perfect hideaway. The rooms are quiet with a colorful cheer that will reset your peace of mind. Not to mention how fantastic the staff is. Upon arriving their valet is possibly the happiest man on Earth. Seriously: if we had him as a personal daily cheerleader we probably would’ve taken over the world already. Aside from that the common areas are perfect for games, catching a few rays, reading a book by their fire, or heading to their pool area for a refreshing dip. You don’t even have to leave the premises for a solid workout as The Kinney has a private gym for all their guests. They also include breakfast downstairs ( if you can get out of bed, no judgment).
