The fifth annual Los Angeles Food and Wine Festival was held downtown in front of the iconic Walt Disney Concert Hall on August 27-30.
Produced by Coastal Luxury Management and presented by FOOD & WINE and Lexus, the weekend showcased delicious food and wine tastings, cooking demonstrations, seminars, great music and more.
Some of the biggest culinary stars were in attendance, including: Curtis Stone, Tyler Florence, Nancy Silverton, Thomas Keller, Michelle Bernstein, Michael Chiarello, Alex Guarnaschelli, Antonia Lofaso, Elizabeth Falkner, Ray Garcia, Dakota Weiss, John Tesar and Jet Tila along with over 100 more chefs. Also, over 250 world-class wines were available to explore. It was a food lovers dream.
We had a chance to attend on Saturday and enjoy a live concert by the Grammy-award winning, hip-hop/neo-soul group, The Roots. The group is well known for being the official house band on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Trust us when we say that they rocked out hard and put on an amazing performance that elevated the already amazing food. Other entertainment acts throughout the weekend were DJ sets by Mike D of The Beastie Boys and The Roots drummer, Questlove.
The festival was a huge hit and is considered to be one of the best culinary festivals in America. After noshing on all of the wonderful food and indulging in the wine, we would definitely have to agree!
