The Highland Park Festival is back to being an in person event, in and around the Historic Highland Park Theatre, October 1-2.
In case you haven’t been, it is an annual (mostly free) festival to celebrate the best of East LA film, art and music. As films play inside the theatre, DJs and artists perform outside to bring the community together. They have a particular focus on East LA, Latinx and LGBTQ artists and movies.
WHAT: Highland Park Film Festival + Fan Fest back for 2021

& Fan Fest – Free outdoor music and art festival that happens outside the Highland Theatre at the same time. Includes Alfresco DJ’s, Live Art Demos.

7pm Red Carpet
8pm Free Screening of feature documentary “Carlos Almaraz, Playing with Fire”
At same time, outside in the park, DJ Ana B will perform alongside live artist demonstrations.
WHY: Grassroots community organization who love bringing people together to celebrate the best of LGBTQ, Local, Latinx focused East LA’s art, film and music.
